The objective of the 2005 drill program was to expand upon the known mineralization at the Midway zone, within the Jethro structure. Mineralization consists of intense sheeted veining hosted within a quartz monzonite intrusion, and within hornfels proximal to the intrusion. SUMMARY OF RESULTS, RED MOUNTAIN PROPERTY
Hole DD05-20 was collared 80 metres southwest of hole DD04-14 (0.87 g/t Au over 213 metres, including 27 metres of 2.19 g/t Au; previously reported on July 27, 2004) and 60 metres south of DD04-18 (0.85 g/t Au over 204 metres as previously reported on Aug. 30, 2004). DD05-20 returned 1.07 g/t Au over 104.91 metres; including 37.33 metres of 1.47 g/t Au. DD05-21 was a 50-metre step-out to the northwest from DD04-18. It returned 1.13 g/t Au over 63.57 metres including 32.25 metres of 1.60 g/t Au. DD05-22 was collared a further 50 metres northwest of DD05-21. Anomalous gold was intersected throughout the hole DD05-22, including 28.21 metres of 1.24 g/t Au starting at 4.27 metres. DD05-23 collared 200 metres east of DD05-20 returned a 14.16-metre section of 0.94 g/t Au between 118.00 and 132.60 metres. DD05-24 was located a further 170 metres east of DD05-23 and was drilled at azimuth 230 degrees across the Jethro structure. The hole intersected anomalous gold throughout the hole, including 1.07 g/t Au over 18.88 metres between 60.86 and 79.74 metres. DD05-25 collared 100 metres northeast of DD05-24 intersected some narrow intervals of quartz monzonite. The best results returned 5.88 metres of 1.15 g/t Au. Red Mountain project is located 42 kilometres west of the Dublin Gulch property currently being explored by Stratagold Corp. Dublin Gulch is reported to contain an indicated resource of 55.2 million tonnes at 0.934 g/t Au. The 2005 exploration program at Red Mountain, including the supervision and collection of core samples, is being conducted and managed by Aurum Geological, under the direction of Al Doherty, PGeo, a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101. Samples are run for fire assay on a 30-gram sample and for a 31-element ICP analyses. A blank field sample is inserted every 25th sample. The lab also runs repeats and resplits plus standards for every assay batch. |
